This document will try to help you use the Client. I╒ve tried to make it as simple as possible, but some featrues are still har to understand, and the Balloon help is as complete as I want it to be.

Setting up the Client
Before you can use the client, you must turn Program Linking on in the ╥File Sharing╙ control panel.
Let╒s start out with entering the settings for the Client. Select Prefrences... from the Edit menu, or press - ;.
Enter your Username. You should have gotten this and your Password from the person who runs the server.
You could enter your password to the server, and it will be remembered. If you are concerned that somebody will turn on your computer when you are not there and check your email, uncheck the ╥Remember password╙ checkbox and you will be asked every time you check your email to enter your password.
If you have gotten the address to the server, enter it into the ╥Server address╙ area. If have not recieved an address, press the button that looks like a cable. You will get a window that will let you select what computer has the server. Check through the different computers and select the one where ╥MacMail Server╙ appears to the right. Select ╥MacMail Server╙ and press OK.
If you want MacMail to check your email automatically every hour, select the ╥Auto-Check╙ check box. In the field beside it you can select when every hour. (if it says ╥00╙ then your email will be checked at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, etc) This function only works when MacMail is open.
The prefrences aren╒t saved until you close the Prefrences window.
Checking your email
Select ╥Check for mail╙ from the ╥Mail╙ menu. MacMail should connect to the server and download any email.
Writing an email
Select ╥Compose new mail╙ from the ╥Mail╙ menu. You will get a window where you can write a message.
If you know the username of the person you want to write to, type it into the ╥To:╙ field. If you don╒t, press the ╥ ╙ button. You will get a list of users on the server. Select one and press ╥OK╙.
Type the subkect of the message in the big text field. If you select the ╥Date Stamp╙ checkbox then the message will be stamped with the date the message was sent.
Press the ╥Send╙ button. The message will be sent.
Copying messages from a version of MacMail older than 2.0.
Select ╥Copy Messages╙ from the ╥Tools╙ menu. MacMail will guide you thru the rest.
